Show-Boat Drive in Theatre
Catch modern movies in an old school double feature at the Showboat Drive-In. They will be open ever weekend this summer at 6PM with the first feature beginning at 8:15PM. The beloved drive-in movie theater hosts new release films that takes you back and introduces the kids to a new movie-going experience through an age-old tradition.
Take the kids to get Wet 'n' Wild and enjoy this one of a kind waterpark in the state of Texas. It features 9 big water rides, a wave pool, lazy river, multiple, splash-pads, water obstacle courses and more. The 80-acre park is a true Texas oasis, located just 22 miles from Rosehill Reserve!
Tomball Museum Center
Get to know Tomball’s rich history at the Museum Center — home to a furnished Victorian home, a mid-1800 furnished farmhouse, an early 1900 church, a country doctor's office and a one-room school and more. The Farm Museum houses a late-19th-century cotton gin, wagons and farm implements.
Kleb Woods Nature Preserve
Head to Kleb Woods for a picnic, bird watching and hiking, a nature lover’s delight! You can explore the dense thick wooded areas along with areas of wetlands. Stop by the nature center to learn about 11 species of local animals. The area which is now a nature preserve was once a family farm.
There’s nothing like spending an afternoon sampling some local Texas craft beer! Be sure to check-out area breweries such as Fire Ant Brewing, Bearded Fox, Southern Star and Lone Pint. You can take a tour and learn the history of the beer while enjoying a cold one!
Connoisseurs and wine lovers alike will enjoy local wineries such as the Wild Stallion Vineyard and the Empty Glass. Each offers something special and a taste of fine Texas wine. And, chances are there will be live music, tastings, tours or other events going on at these wineries all summer long!
Tomball Farmers Market
Home to local growers, craftsmen, and artisans, the Tomball farmers market is open Saturdays 9am -1pm. The market is a registered nonprofit and works as a cooperative effort of local families! Located at 205 W. Main St. on the corner of Main Street (FM 2920) and Walnut Street in Downtown Tomball two blocks west of the railroad tracks.
